I live for adventure, sport, fun and the outdoors which has always taken me to great places. After studying a Sports Science degree at Rhodes University in SA I based myself in the UK and travelled all over the world. I then furthered my studies at the University of Brighton in the UK and fulfilled my dream to become a Physiotherapist. This Africa trip is another dream ...as South Africa is calling me home! |
I am South African, grew up in Ixopo in Natal and came to the UK after finishing University in Durban. I have been living in the UK for the last 6 years and working as a Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager. Since I was a boy I have dreamed of traveling through Africa and am so excited to now, finally, make that dream a reality. |

I was born in Solihul, England, and spent the first years of my life with Severn Trent Water. After my time there I joined Steve and Fiona in Cambridge for 2 years before Sarah and Bruce convinced me to travel through Africa with them. Sarah and Bruce have named me Ubhejane which means Black Rhino in Zulu. Lets hope I don't let them down! To find out how I was transformed form a utility vehicle into a Trans Africa Expedition machine take a look at the Preparation page.
